Job Description

Job Title: Academic Counsellor EdTech Sales | Student Counseling&Admissions

Location: Andheri E, MIDC,Mumbai

Salary: 6 LPA to 10 LPA

Working Days: Monday to Saturday (10:30 am to 7:30 pm)

Experience: Minimum 1 year in EdTech sales, academic counseling, or a related field

As an Academic Counsellor, you will play a key role in supporting prospective studentsfrom the moment they inquire about a course to successful enrollment. You will help them understand program details, navigate admission requirements, and explore career opportunities in the fast-growing analytics industry

Key Responsibilities
  • Student Counseling: Offer personalized guidance on BIA's programs, curriculum, fees, prerequisites, and learning outcomes.
  • Admissions Support: Assist students throughout the admission process, including applications, interviews, and document verification.
  • Lead Management: Follow up with leads and inquiries, applying effective conversion strategies to meet enrollment targets.
  • Presentations & Counseling Sessions: Conduct impactful presentations and provide online or in-person counseling to highlight course benefits and career prospects.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions, follow-ups, and feedback using CRM or data management tools.
  • Career Guidance: Advise students on job roles, certifications, and upskilling pathways relevant to analytics.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with the marketing and admissions teams to drive student intake and achieve organizational goals.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay updated with trends in analytics and higher education to offer informed advice.
  • Relationship Building: Build strong, trust-based relationships with students, parents, and partner institutions to enhance engagement and retention.


  • Preferred Candidate Profile
    • Experience: Minimum 1 year in EdTech sales, academic counseling, or a related field.
    • Communication: Excellent English communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).
    • Interpersonal Skills: Charismatic, customer-focused, and strong at building rapport.
    • Negotiation Skills: Ability to effectively engage and convert prospective students.
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM tools is an advantage.
