Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer – Healthcare Payer Domain
Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned QA/Quality Engineer with deep expertise in Healthcare Payer Operations and Enterprise Automation. In this role, you will lead end-to-end testing strategies, complex data reconciliations, and API/UI automation—ensuring high software quality and strict regulatory compliance across core payer platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Healthcare & Platform Testing: Perform module-level and data-validation testing on Facets across Claims, Membership/Enrollment, and Provider Configuration.
- EDI & Transaction Validation: Read, parse, and validate X12 EDI transaction sets (834, 837P/I/D, 277CA, 835, 278, 270/271, 820) at the loop and segment level using Edifecs or similar tools.
- Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: Ensure system compliance with CMS interoperability mandates (FHIR R4/HL7), state Medicaid encounter submissions, HIPAA data handling, and audit-grade financial flows.
- Test Design & Strategy: Derive business-rule test scenarios, execute multi-system data reconciliations (source file vs. system of record vs. downstream), and manage defect triage across SIT, UAT, and Regression phases.
- Automation & Integration: Build and maintain UI test suites using Selenium or Playwright, conduct API/integration testing (Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI), and leverage enterprise tools like TOSCA or Robot Framework.
- Database & Querying: Independently write complex, multi-table SQL queries to validate data integrity across environments.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Payer / Provider Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of Medicaid (primary focus), Medicare Advantage, TRICARE, and Marketplace lines of business.
Technical Proficiency
- Databases/APIs: Advanced, unaided SQL query writing; REST/SOAP API contract and schema testing.
- Automation: Hands-on experience with Selenium/Playwright, TOSCA, or Robot Framework.
- Languages: Python or Java for script utility development and parsing.
- Tools & Discipline: Azure DevOps (ADO) for defect and CI/CD pipeline management; familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools (Copilot, Azure OpenAI, Claude).
