We are seeking a skilled Data/ETL Test Engineer to join our team and ensure the quality and reliability of our data processing systems. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across multiple teams in an Agile environment. Key Requirements: Technical Skills: • Python programming (required) - Strong proficiency for test automation and data validation • ETL testing expertise - Deep understanding of Extract, Transform, Load processes and testing methodologies • SQL Server proficiency - Ability to write complex queries, validate data integrity, and perform database testing • Git version control - Experience with code repository management and collaborative development workflows • Unix/Linux fundamentals - Basic command-line skills for system navigation and script execution Testing & Process Skills: • Test case design and creation - Proven ability to develop comprehensive test scenarios, test plans, and detailed test cases for complex data workflows • Agile methodology experience - Familiarity with Scrum/Agile practices, sprint planning, and iterative development cycles • JIRA proficiency - Experience using JIRA for project tracking, defect management, and sprint coordination Soft Skills: • Cross-functional collaboration - Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with development, data engineering, and business teams • Problem-solving mindset - Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex data quality issues
