Experience Required
- Minimum 5–6 years in Exhibition Stall Design & Fabrication Industry.
- Must have worked on custom-built exhibition stalls, pavilions, experiential zones, and corporate exhibition booths.
- Experience in designing island booths, peninsula booths, and mezzanine structures.
- Exposure to technology, engineering, manufacturing, IT, and B2B exhibition projects.
- Portfolio should include stalls ranging from 18 sqm to 200+ sqm.
Technical Skills
- 3Ds Max (Mandatory)
- AutoCAD (Mandatory)
- SketchUp
- V-Ray / Corona Renderer
- Photoshop & Illustrator
- Understanding of fabrication drawings and production layouts.
Design Expectations
- Should be updated with the latest global exhibition trends.
- Strong understanding of:
- LED-integrated fascia designs
- Double-decker / Mezzanine booths
- Sustainable and reusable booth concepts
- Interactive technology zones
- Product display architecture
- Premium lighting concepts
- AV and digital engagement elements.
Fabrication Knowledge (Most Important)
The candidate should not only create attractive designs but also understand:
- Fabrication feasibility.
- Material selection (MDF, plywood, acrylic, metal, fabric, LED elements).
- Structural stability of mezzanine and hanging elements.
- Venue regulations and height restrictions.
- Cost impact of every design element.
- Ability to optimize designs based on client budget.
- Preparation of production-ready drawings.
- Coordination with fabrication and execution teams.
Commercial Understanding
The designer must:
- Estimate approximate fabrication costs while designing.
- Suggest alternative materials to reduce costs.
- Design within the given budget.
- Understand per sqm costing and ROI-driven design approach.
- Balance creativity with practical execution.
Additional Qualities
- Strong client presentation skills.
- Ability to explain design rationale.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Coordination with client servicing, production, and vendors.
- Quick turnaround for exhibition pitches and tender submissions.
