We are looking for a highly creative and detail-oriented 3D Lead Designer to lead our product visualization and design development efforts.
Role Overview
As a 3D Lead Designer, you will be responsible for driving the complete 3D design and visualization process for our watch collections and lifestyle products. You will work closely with founders, product teams, industrial designers, and marketing teams to transform concepts into production-ready designs and high-quality visual assets.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of product design, form development, materials, manufacturing feasibility, and premium product aesthetics.
Key Responsibilities
Product Design & Development
- Lead the 3D design and development of watches and lifestyle products from concept to production.
- Create highly detailed 3D models, renders, prototypes, and product visualizations.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to translate ideas into manufacturable designs.
- Develop innovative concepts while maintaining brand identity and design language.
- Ensure designs meet functionality, ergonomics, and production requirements.
Visualization & Rendering
- Create photorealistic product renders for marketing, e-commerce, and product presentations.
- Produce high-quality animations and visual storytelling assets.
- Develop packaging and product presentation mockups when required.
- Maintain consistency across all product visualizations.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor the 3D design team.
- Establish workflows, quality benchmarks, and design standards.
- Coordinate with manufacturing partners and vendors to ensure design feasibility.
- Participate in design reviews and product strategy discussions.
Innovation & Trend Analysis
- Stay updated with global trends in watches, luxury products, consumer goods, and industrial design.
- Research new materials, finishes, and manufacturing techniques.
- Contribute ideas that enhance product innovation and customer experience.
Required Skills
- Expertise in Blender, Rhino, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, KeyShot, or equivalent software.
- Strong understanding of product design, industrial design, and manufacturing processes.
- Exceptional rendering and visualization skills.
- Knowledge of materials, finishes, CMF (Color, Material & Finish), and production constraints.
- Strong attention to detail and aesthetic sensibility.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical Design, or a related field.
- 4–8+ years of experience in product design, industrial design, luxury products, consumer goods, watches, jewelry, or related industries.
- Experience working with premium or luxury brands is highly preferred.
- Strong portfolio showcasing product development and photorealistic 3D visualization work.
