As a Sr. Software Engineer (Backend) at Zenarate, you will architect and scale real-time AI voice systems that power lifelike conversation simulations for enterprise contact centers. You'll build low-latency pipelines and microservices using Python and React, integrating cutting-edge LLMs and voice AI to transform how millions of front-line agents are trained globally.

What You Will Do

Architect and scale real-time voice agent infrastructure using WebSocket-based streaming, session management, and low-latency audio/event pipelines.
Design and maintain microservices in Python (Django/Flask) that integrate with agentic frameworks and voice AI services like Deepgram or ElevenLabs.
Collaborate with ML engineers and product teams to translate complex business requirements into robust, high-performance APIs for regulated enterprise industries.

The ideal candidate

5-8 years of backend engineering experience with strong proficiency in Python and frameworks like Django or Flask.
Deep expertise in real-time communication protocols such as WebSockets, WebRTC, or gRPC streaming for high-load simulation workloads.
Proven track record operating distributed systems on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) using containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
