Job Purpose:

As the bank continues to grow strategically across the region, we are exposed to new and emerging risks that may have significant impact on our credit portfolio quality. This senior role focuses on

Scanning macro and industry trends for proactive portfolio monitoring and review. Identify and manage risk events and their impact effectively.
Building and enhancing analytical tools for early warning identification as well as strengthening system and data infrastructure to facilitate portfolio monitoring activities; and
Engaging Group CRO and Group CCO regularly for new tools and scenarios for consideration and implementation
Supporting the rollout of Portfolio Shaping initiative

Responsibilities:

Lead and engage discussions with senior stakeholders (including ECRMs/SREs, Industry/Country Heads) on potential scenarios, portfolio reviews, and new credit portfolio tools, where applicable.
Responsible for establishing appropriate monitoring and response framework to different scenarios and jointly formulate action plans with relevant stakeholder across the bank.
Lead the team of portfolio managers to proactively identify, assess and report risk events and impact on portfolio.
Orchestrate bank-wide bottom up stress testing and/or portfolio reviews through collaborative work with CRMs/RMs across geographies and/or business unit representatives
Coordinate and prepare submissions to the various oversight committees in DBS Group and its subsidiaries (GCRC, Risk ExCo, BRMC); Present these submissions to the committees where required.
Contribute to external communications (e.g. Investor Relations, Rating Agencies, MAS) when needed
Drive transformative changes to processes through application of new technology and/or digitalisation efforts

Requirements

Experience: 15+ years of experience in Credit Risk management, with a proven track record in leading a team.
Industry Knowledge & Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of credit risk, macroeconomic risk as well as contagion impact to the Bank's portfolios
Strong Risk Mindset : Proven ability to proactively respond to evolving and emerging risks with requisite risk mitigation measures across portfolios.
Technology and Process Acumen: Familiarity with Gen AI and Technology to create efficient and effective processes.
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and mentor teams, and drive cross-functional collaboration.
Regulatory Expertise: Knowledge of financial regulations across Singapore and key markets.
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or related fields.
