DRDO has announced a paid internship starting January 2026 at the Defence Geoinformatics Research Establishment (DGRE), Chandigarh, for engineering and science students.
This internship opportunity at DRDO is offered by DGRE, a specialised DRDO lab working on geoinformatics, terrain analysis and defence research projects.
Eligible students include full-time UG and PG candidates from engineering and science streams studying at recognised institutions with strong academic records.
Interns work on lab-assigned research, analysis, technical documentation and project tasks under the guidance of DRDO scientists at DGRE.
The DRDO DGRE internship runs for 6 months starting 1 January 2026. The internship is conducted offline at the DGRE lab in Chandigarh.
Selected interns receive a stipend of ₹5,000 per month, payable only for days present at the lab. No travel, lodging or food support is provided.
Academic strength, subject knowledge, basic technical skills and interest in defence research are essential for selection under the DRDO internship program.

Interns receive an official DRDO internship certificate after successful completion of the internship and submission of required project reports.
