ISRO IISU Internship 2026: Important Dates, How to Apply and Selection Process

ISRO IISU Internship 2026 is a short-duration academic internship program conducted by the ISRO Inertial Systems Unit (IISU), Thiruvananthapuram, for students who are currently pursuing regular on-campus degree programs in science and technology disciplines relevant to ISRO programs.

The internship is offered only in the unclassified areas of IISU / ISRO and is governed by clearly defined academic, security, and administrative conditions. Candidates is restricted to Indian citizens who meet the prescribed academic performance criteria and semester completion requirements.

The IISU internship does not provide any stipend, remuneration, or financial assistance. Incomplete or late applications are rejected. Acceptance or rejection decisions are communicated only to the applicant’s institution.

Eligibility Criteria for IISU Internship

IISU internship is open only to students who meet all eligibility conditions specified by the ISRO official website.

  • The applicant must be a citizen of India.
  • The student must be currently pursuing a regular on-campus program.
  • Only disciplines in Science or Technology relevant to ISRO programs are considered.
  • The internship is permitted only once per degree.

Internship Duration and Available Blocks

IISU internship is offered for minimum 21 days to maximum 45 days.

How to Apply for IISU Internship 2026

Applicants must submit the internship application only in the prescribed IISU format, duly completed and approved by the competent authority of their institution. Applications that are incomplete, unsigned, or received after the deadline are rejected.

Step 1: Fill the IISU Internship Application Form

  • Download and fill the official IISU internship application form.
  • Select the appropriate internship block (May–July or October–December).
  • Provide accurate personal, academic, and course-related details.

Step 2: Obtain Institutional Approval

  • The application must be duly approved and signed by the Principal or Head of Department (HOD).
  • The declaration section must be signed by both the student and the institutional authority.

Step 3: Attach Required Documents

  • Completed IISU application form
  • Detailed biodata including educational qualifications, skills, and prior internships or projects (if any)

Step 4: Submit the Application

The completed application must be submitted using one of the following modes:
